iridescent wave presents: i-wave together

Show me what community looks like

I’ve been pondering a question for a bit now — how can I truly build community around i-wave? Not an audience, not hype or clout or big name endorsements (though that stuff can certainly help in this business of *building a brand* that I find myself in with this blog), but true community. I want to create a social foundation for others that feels good & beneficial — something that people are happy to be a part of. Enter i-wave together.

I’ve seen people in web3 approach that question in various ways, and all the while, I’ve been trying to figure out what it is that feels best to me as a community member of other groups, and how to then create an intentional space for whatever that is.

Well, I’m excited to announce that I’ve come up with something! Gonna just… roll with it and see how it goes! So what who cares!

we’re trying something

introducing: i-wave together

Welcome to i-wave together, an accountability + web3 support group centering women &/or qpoc creatives in web3!

A year in web3 has shown me more than ever the need to embrace my strengths. Helping people feel seen, facilitating helpful conversations, connecting people across disciplines + specialties — this is what I bring to a room, a community, a space, and now I’m bringing it to web3 via i-wave together.

The nature of such an online phenomenon as this “web3” revolution is that feelings of isolation are never too far. Being so online is NAHT healthy and can be lonely, and even after many months of participating in various ways, it can still feel like ‘is everyone hanging out without me.’

What is i-wave together, and how will it build community?

I-wave together is a support + accountability group centering women &/or qpoc creatives in web3 working on stuff (music, platforms, visual art, etc.!), though everyone is welcome as long as they respect that ethos.

Calling all creatives, devs, thinkers, movers,

The introverts and the extra extroverted,

And especially the people who can’t sleep at night because they’re too busy building!

Bring your fears, where you need help, and where you’re stuck,

Bring your goals and dreams and visions,

What you wanna learn more about.

Bring ALL of that! Let’s get to know each other & encourage each other to grow. Meetings will be facilitated by me, Celia, and designed to give everyone equal time to speak their piece. There are no featured speakers or guests; everyone attending is a special guest. My goal as facilitator will be to achieve meaningful connections & conversation. Speaking on camera is encouraged.
