Hello, 2024!!! Musemind Conversations took a little holiday break to recharge & reset, and now we’re back! Musemind Conversations is the new Twitter space from me (Celia Inside), dvdv, and Charisse Sky. We talk about music as art, and follow where the conversation muse takes us. It’s a time! You can join too.
Recap:
On episode three (back on 12/14/23), we explore the topic of “the future of music,” where we touched on how we feel about and where stand on AI tools & their usage, as well as collaborative music making powered by web3!
Here’s a link to the recorded space:
From dvdv: “I’ve always been nerdy about future developments of tools! my first album was actually about AI in 2018 and i used a machine learning tool to generate sounds. […] I really think some of these tools are gonna help visualize ideas so much easier, and also expand the concept of US as long as we can maintain ownership of it.”
Here’s dvdv’s sketch summary for this week’s episode!:
LOVE THAT and totally agree. Charisse thinks the web3 boom is coming, especially with more adoption from huge names such as Nicki Minaj, whose recent album rollout incorporated metaverse stuff via Roblox, opportunities for more personalized fan experiences, along with a badge/tier system. She also thinks the proliferation of all the AI-powered stuff will lead people to crave a human aspect to people & their work more than ever.
Overall, we agreed that when using these tools, authenticity is what counts at the end of the day! To quote myself, “there will be a [felt] difference between churned out, unintentional AI BS and ppl using it to make great art that is still authentic.”
Quotables:
“I think [the web3 boom] is coming and sooner than we think.” – Charisse
“The ability to split revenue instantly is amazing, and one of the main reasons I came to web3. It incentivizes collaboration in a new way.” – Celia
“I think it’s happening in the background. It’s happening but it’s not visible yet. Trying to figure out the levels of access and how far they can go.” – dvdv
Join us next time where tackle the logical next topic: authenticity. “New year, new me,” they say. ARE WE STAYING OURSELVES IN WEB3? Here’s a link to the space.
