musemind conversations // ep. 5: fantasy manager swap

Hey! Thanks for visiting, and welcome to the official MuseMind Conversations recaps here on iridescent wave! MuseMind Conversations is the new Twitter space from me (Celia Inside), dvdv, and Charisse Sky. We come together weekly-ish to connect around our work and process, and go where the muse takes us topic-wise. It’s always fun when guests join, so here’s your open invitation to join us!

Recap:

On episode five (from 1/18/24), we got saucy with a little Fantasy Manager Swap! What does that mean? We basically just closed our eyes and pretended for a week to be each others’ manager, haha. What did we like about each other’s social media content? Where did we think we could improve? We of course did this with great care and regard for each other as artists and AS PEOPLE! 🙂

Here’s a link to the recorded space:

we WENT there we went places

I really loved this space; we are three very different creators musically, and it was so valuable to get the perspective of trusted friends along with some incredible insight and ideas!

What is most exciting is we made a pact to integrate at least one of these ideas into our video content playbook soon, so stay tuned for that moment!

A few ideas we are ALL keen to try because we would all slay: voiceover narration videos; more SINGING.

Here’s dvdv’s art summary of the week, once again featuring the most gorgeous meow-meow:

Quotables:

“Covers/remixes of other artists’ songs is great — it puts you in orbit with those artists & sounds via a song ppl already know and love. ” – Celia to Charisse

“your music is ethereal and your voice is so soothing — so the voiceover lane would feel great. i like the fact that you don’t show your face as much.” – Charisse to dvdv

“I also really like on your IG, when i see your posts, i get this feeling or dynamic of freedom or lifestyle. openness. bringing ppl onto a journey. this feeling that you’re rly active — you have a presence.” – dvdv to Celia

Our next MuseMind celebrates dvdv and her remix compilation project, What Is the Opposite of Ambivalence? Recap soon.

Catch you at the next one?
