Welcome back to MuseMind Conversations recaps here on iridescent wave! MuseMind Conversations is the bi-weekly Twitter space from me (Celia Inside), dvdv, and Charisse Sky. We come together to connect around our work and process as artist-producers and just as people in the world, you know? Support systems are so important!
Recap
On episode eight (from 3/28/24), we took on the topic of artist access points! We all make music, and are all creators — how do we reach people and how do they find us in 2024? This includes everything from music streaming to interviews to merch to live performances.
This was also a rare occasion where we were sadly without dvdv as we didn’t realize that we in the States had shifted our clocks one hour whereas she did not, LOL. It was all good and she was able to even join in the end!
Charisse laid out this list of key aspects of access points such as variety (are you dropping content in various places?), consistency (don’t stop!), mapping (visualizing a customer’s journey to discovering you), and omni-channel approaches that basically call for cohesion of your message across all channels.
We talked about how Twitter is powerful in that it covers many bases; you can post media and also pop up in spaces to get your voice heard in addition to sharing your thoughts via tweets.
We also touched on the importance of quality over quantity when it comes to spewing your content across the internet!
Here’s a link to the recorded space to take in the full convo:
We were also joined by guests such as Akash, who shared some of his interview work and shared his insights on what makes artists special.
