musemind conversations // ep 9: Spring – Setting Goals & Intentions

Heyyy and welcome back to MuseMind Conversations recaps here on iridescent wave! MuseMind Conversations is the bi-weekly Twitter space from me (Celia Inside), dvdv, and Charisse Sky. We gather to check in, and also connect around our work and process as artist-producers. We also love when you join us!

Recap

On episode nine (from 4/25/24), we took a moment to appreciate the beginning of spring and all that it brings. We sought out to set goals and intentions, too, after reflecting on how the first few months of the year have been going.

Here’s a link to the recorded space to smell the flowers with us:

“I need to get more sunlight and have more fun,” Charisse said, and we were all like, HARD AGREE!

dvdv also spoke to how her intentions have shifted in the last couple of months, and that she wants to open herself more for “all the colors of joy” while at the same time getting organized around all the work related to her upcoming album.

Here’s dvdv’s colorful sketch for this week’s episode:

what can stay & what can go?

As for me, yes, organization helps me, but so does remembering the love for what we do as music makers. I think it’s easy to get swept up in tasks and to-do lists without really sitting with the power of what we create.

Guest Brunni also chimed in to remind us that we’ll be alright if we’re doing whatever we’re truly called to do.

Quotables

“Making music is obviously really important to the three of us, and let’s not forget that it can be so healing.” – Celia

“I need to get more sunlight and have more fun.” – Charisse

“I need to get the fragments back and bring them back to me. It’s feeding on my energy that I cannot be focused in one place.’ – dvdv on the “fragmented doors” all around her via platforms and projects popping up non-stop

Our LAST MuseMind Convo of this season is coming up next! Join us for lucky number 10, and celebrate this ongoing commitment to listening to each other, creating, and sharing.
