i’m with the band: LNRZ

A lot of what guides my time, thinking, and work in web3 boils down to the question of, why web3? It seems clear why artists are in — for ownership, reaching fans more directly, and cutting out middlemen — but what about fans, listeners, your audience? What is here for them? Today, I’ll focus on a web3 music crew that is paving the way in showing us what is possible: LNRZ

Who are the lnrz?

The LNRZ DAO is the brainchild of artist Reo Cragun, whose passion for web3 and overall music greatness is electric. He and his collaborators are not the first or only group of artists to band together for a web3 project, but I would say they are the most consistent, intentional, funded, and therefore, capable (at least at the moment!).

who is the artist of these super cool logo variations? the ppl need to know!

Let’s start with what’s most important: the music is fire. The collaborations among LNRZ’ season 1 freshmen push boundaries and excite fans & collectors of the LNRZ mission. Long ago (not really but yes, really in web3 time), I heard the LNRZ (Prologue) by Reo Cragun and became an instant fan. I was thrilled to see that he was taking his web3 success and attempting to turn it into something much bigger — an ambitious DAO record label of sorts that would lead the way in web3 experimentation and success.

What’s cool about being a lnrz holder?

But what’s in it for holders of their NFTs? As an early supporter of the LNRZ and their mission, I get to join an exclusive group chat. While that seems simple & routine enough in web3, what brought me closer was a recent LNRZ remix competition that I was eligible for with my holder status. The winning prize? A drop on sound.xyz, where the LNRZ have a pretty solid track record of hyped up sell-outs bolstered by an engaged & well off ($$) community. I also got ears on my remix submission from the head LNRZ and general community.

And what of those sold out NFTs? They sell — even in this economy, which, in web3, means that LNRZ community members can potentially benefit financially from being an early holder.

Of course, it takes funding and resources to make a web3 crew great, which the LNRZ have. Does it come with some unsavory characters? It sure does, but some might argue that money is green.

Overall, the LNRZ are a talented crew led by capable trailblazers that offer supporters creative and practical rewards, all brought to you by web3. Catch them later today to kick off LNRZ SZN 2 — I certainly will be paying attention to what they do next.
